INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – June 7, 2022 – PRLog — Missouri Palliative & Hospice Care Northwest proudly announces accreditation with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), exemplifying the organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting the certification requirements and standards that foster employee competence and patient care.

Medicare and Medicaid programs originated as medical insurance, developed to protect the uninsured. More than fifty years later, CMS has transformed the nation’s healthcare system, providing more access to affordable, quality healthcare including palliative and hospice care. Although pursuing accreditation is voluntary and exacting, “deemed status” providers are exempt from routine surveys by State survey agencies determining compliance with Medicare and Medicaid standards and conditions.

“We are proud to have earned CMS accreditation for Missouri Palliative & Hospice Care Northwest. Our Executive Team, Directors, Clinical Managers and Care Team strive to pursue excellence in hospice and palliative care. This accomplishment fully demonstrates our integrity, dedication, and compliance with CMS standards. It is an honor for our organization,” said Phillip Hill, CEO.
